Oh, Jadey...

Jade, my first born, will officially be FIVE AND A HALF at the end of this month. This is a big deal for my Kindergartner who is the youngest in her class (her birthday is August 31st, one day before the September 1st cutoff, so she is in fact the youngest Kindergartner there can be).

She's too smart for her own good, that's obvious to anyone who knows her, but she has a personality just as big as her brain. She has been cracking me up lately...some of her crazy talk over the last few days has made me chuckle, roll my eyes, and think oh good lord help me when she's a teenager...

Here are just a few that I wrote down:

Jade: I want a walk-in tub. It has a door that you can open so that you don't have to step over the side.

Me: Where did you see one of those?

Jade: On a commercial.

Me: Well those are for old people who have trouble walking.

Jade: Or for pincesesses...

Jade: Mommy, when you are sick do your boobs make rotten milk?

Me: Ummm, no.
Jade: Hmmm. That's cool.

Jade: Mommy, you know that boy in my class, Henley?
Me: Yes.

Jade: I kind of feel like I might marry him.

Me: Oh really? What makes you feel like that?

Jade: I don't know.

Me: Do you like him?

Jade: Yes.

Me: Do you think he's handsome?

Jade: Yes, and he's 6. I just loooooove that he's 6...

I think I am going to start writing down a lot more of the things that come out of her mouth...it's usually too strange for me to remember, but way to funny not to have to embarrass her with when she's older :)
